Dunkin’ Donuts Customers Raise $467K for One Fund Boston
Dunkin’ Donuts customers across New England donated more than $ 467,000 to the One Fund Boston.
While getting their cup of joe or donuts, customers deposited money at registers at more than 2,000 Dunkin’ Donuts franchises in Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, New York and Maine, according to the Dunkin’ Donuts’ website.
“I am so grateful to our franchisees, employees and guests who came together to support The One Fund Boston,” wrote Nigel Travis, CEO of Dunkin’ Donuts. “In addition, Dunkin’ Brands and The Dunkin’ Donuts & Baskin-Robbins Community Foundation together donated an additional $ 200,000 to the The One Fund Boston.”
During a week-long collection, the Canton-based company was able to raise money for those most affected by the Boston Marathon bombings, which is what the One Fund Boston is going towards.
The South End’s local Dunkin Donuts locations at 850 Harrison Ave., 616 Massachusetts Ave. and others participated in the collection for One Fund Boston.
“Through these combined efforts, we are honored to present The One Fund Boston with a total donation of $ 667,884.61 in the hope that these contributions will help the families who lost loved ones and assist those who were seriously injured in the Boston Marathon bombings,” added Travis. “Our thoughts continue to be with the victims and all those who were affected by the heartbreaking events that occurred at the Boston Marathon.”
