Things to Know in the South End Today, April 4: South End ‘Chefs for the Cure’

1. Weather: The National Weather Service is predicting a mostly sunny day with a high of 55 degrees. 

2. Chefs for the Cure: Several South End head chefs, Joanne Change of Myers + Chang, Michael Zentner of Gasslight Brasserie du Coin, Justin Winters of Cinquecento and Peppino (Shingara Singh) of Da Vinci Ristorante, are participating in the Susan G. Komen for the Cure’s “Chefs for the Cure” charity event on Thursday, April 11, 2013 at the Residences at W Boston (100 Stuart St.) The event  is an exclusive culinary tasting-style event which gives guests the opportunity to sample gourmet cuisine from some of the finest local chefs. General admission tickets are available for $ 125 and provide admission to the grand tasting. See here for more information

3. Musical at BCA: Now through April 5th, you can catch “A New Brain” at the BCA Plaza Theatre (539 Tremont St.) Centered on a near-death experience of a songwriter, the musical explores perspectives on the fleeting nature of time, life, and love, and the inspiring power of art to heal and transform. 4. Sing-a-long: Join Pine Village Pre School (700 Harrison Ave.) as they celebrate the launch of Pine Village’s first Spanish CD for children. Juntos Cantamos (Together We Sing) is a compilation of 13 original songs by Education Director, Jacie Feinberg, which are designed to get you and your child moving and singing en español. There’s a sing-along concert on Saturday, April 6 at Pine Village Preschool in the South End at 10 a.m. See here for more information.
