Things to Know in the South End Today, April 5: Sibling Rivalry Closed

1. Weather: The National Weather Service is predicting a mostly sunny day with a high of 57 degrees. 

2. Sibling Rivalry is Closed: The long time restaurant veteran of 525 Tremont Street, Sibling Rivalry, has closed its doors after nine years in business. The restaurant served a blend of new American food with a “dueling chef” premise. “We will be officially closed as of April 2nd,” a sign on the door reads. “Thank you for your local support and memories these past nine years.”

3. Show at BCA: Tonight you can catch a performance from MLYLT artists at the BCA Plaza Theatre (539 Tremont St.) MLYLT artists incorporate Asian traditions and dance into their experimental performances.  The evening will feature Zavé Marohardjono’s Butoh-inspired brother honeyqueen’s dance of darkness and Rico Reyes’ Dance Jeopardy and Filipino-influenced Barrionics.  See here for more information. 

4. Dachsund Meetup: K9 Strolls Shop & Play (83 Pembroke St.) is holding a meet up for you and your Dachsund on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.  This event is open to all Doxie (or Doxie Mix) pups and their owners. See here for more information. 

5. Fix a Feral Cat Clinic:  The Animal Rescue League of Boston is kicking off its 2013 “Fix a Feral Clinics” on Sunday, April 7 at its shelter at 10 Chandler St. This is the first of four clinics in 2013, and the League has the capacity to accept 75 cats for spay/neuter surgery per clinic.
