Posted on March 5, 2013

Boston Police Department

Boston Police officers worked on an ongoing investigation on Friday, March 1. Between January 9 and January 22, a cooperating witness who worked with SIU/ATF Task Force officers made four purchases of heroin.

The cooperating witness bought 6.8 grams of heroin from the suspect on January 9, 4.1 grams on January 11, 3.5 grams on January 18 and 3.5 grams on January 22. Each of these purchases were conducted with police “buy” money, were recorded and confirmed that the substance purchased was heroin by use of a field test.

By using video footage, officers were able to identify the seller of the heroin.

At 3:28 p.m. on Friday, March 1, officers arrested Julin Paredes of 35 Brandon Harris Way, Boston, at 650 Harrison Avenue. Paredes was charged with possession of a Class A substance with intent to distribute.
