FBI: Man Killed in Florida in Connection with Marathon Bombings

Mark Allen Lefkowitz, 44 of Colts Neck was indicted in January after pleading guilty to securities fraud as a stock trader. According to FBI reports, Lefkowitz exploited "a little-known provision that allows companies to issue unregistered shares of stock to settle 'bona fide' debts."

One man is dead and an agent is injured after a confrontation between the FBI and Mass. State Police in connection with the Boston Marathon bombing in the Orlando area on Wednesday morning. 

The FBI on Wednesday morning said an agent, two Massachusetts State Police troopers and other law enforcement personnel were interviewing an individual in connection with the Boston Marathon bombing when he attacked the agent. 

The FBI identified the person shot and killed as Ibragim Todashev, 27.

During the confrontation, Todaschev was shot and killed and the agent sustained non-life threatening injuries.  

“As this incident is under review, we have no further details at this time,” the FBI said.
