Spot a Celebrity in the South End? Share Your Photos!
The word on the street this week is that Hollywood is shooting a new TV show, ABC’s “Hatfield’s and McCoys,” right here in the South End. The show is produced by Charlize Theron and stars Rebecca De Mornay, Jesse Lee Soffer and Annie Ilonzeh. The premise revolves around the family feud between the two clans. While it’s going to be cool in and of itself to spot neighborhood homes, businesses and streets when the show airs — it’s actually supposed to be set in Pittsburgh — what’s also cool is that a few celebrities are in the South End during filming. According to a few locals, Theron was spotted at the South End Buttery, and other filming was happening at Cinquecento this week. So, did you see any celebrities in the South End recently? Tell us in the comments where and when you spotted them, and upload a picture if you had the nerve to ask for one! SOUTH END PATCH: Facebook | Twitter | E-mail Updates South End Patch

PHOTOS: Before and After the Blizzard in the South End
The predictions were true. The blizzard of 2013 dumped more than two feet in the Boston area. In the South End especially, many small side streets were not plowed for the first 24 hours, and many residents with plowed streets woke up to find their cars completely buried in several feet of packed snow. Did you take any “before” and “after” pictures? Add them to the South End photo gallery to see what a difference two feet of snow makes. Share Your Photos: How Much Snow Do You Have?
We at Patch like to have fun – even when we’re covering a story as big as the Blizzard of ’13! So when the biggest storm in years (potentially in the history of Boston weather) is headed our way, we get into battle mode – and even get a little silly. That’s what this idea is about – and we want you to take part too! A fun way we want to track the storm across Massachusetts is through lawn ornaments. They serve a purpose in the spring and summer, but often feel left out in the cold of winter. Not anymore. We are posting photos of lawn ornaments throughout Massachusetts to highlight snowfall across the commonwealth during and after the storm. All you need to do is hit the Upload Photos and Videos button and upload your own. If we’re stuck at home, we might as well have some fun, right? Upload your photos to show us snowfall totals throughout the storm and include information about town, time of day, height of ornament if you have it, etc. Post as many as you want! Please be careful when taking the photos. Now let’s see those lawn ornaments! South End Patch
