Fight at Pine Street Inn Home Leads to Arrests
The following information was supplied by the Boston Police Department. Charges listed do not indicate convictions.
Police arrested two men on Monday for allegedly starting a fistfight inside a Pine Street in rooming house.
Officers responded to a report of a fight in an apartment inside 1740 Washington Street. As officers were en route, dispatch informed the officer that the fight was between four different people.
A resident directed the officers to the apartment when they arrived. A female let officers into the apartment. Officers observed three males in the apartment, one of which was bleeding from the nose and bottom lip.
While the officer tried to ask the room what had happened, the female told police that her two friends had been arguing and the argument turned violent. While talking to the female, one of the men interrupted to clarify minor details about the argument, which turned into a shouting match. The argument quickly deteriorated into a fistfight. Officers collected a white towel, a white sweatshirt and blue jeans that all had blood on them.
Officers arrested Martin Waters and Brian Swider, both of 185 West Canton Street, Boston, and charged them both with assault and battery.
